Roberta Haslam
Roberta is a Supervising Solicitor specialising in immigration, asylum and nationality law. She is part of the senior management team at Seraphus and is an accredited Supervisor and Senior Caseworker under the Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme. Roberta has practised in this field since 2007 and qualified as a solicitor in 2010. She has been ranked in Chambers and Partners for 13 years.
She has extensive experience advising individuals and businesses across a wide range of immigration matters. Her expertise includes complex family-based applications on human rights grounds, long residence and indefinite leave to remain applications, nationality matters, and Global Talent visa applications.
Roberta has acted for many years in asylum claims and appeals, including cases involving politically motivated prosecution, and has significant experience advising on deportation matters. She represents clients at application, appeal and judicial review stages.
Roberta is regularly instructed by local authorities to advise in cases involving children and young people in care and to prepare expert reports for care proceedings. She also delivers training for the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association.
